Free & Easy launch NEW organic, vegan treats! Delicious NEW curry, casserole and cake taste sensations to tempt and delight

Organic, vegan, free from artificial additives and preservatives, gluten, dairy and nuts and yet packed with full-on flavour, the Free & Easy range of no-fuss, easy to create foods, have added two new delicious cakes and nutritious ready meals to their range, reflecting some new delectable taste sensations from around the world:-

New Sweet Potato and Kale Curry has warm, spicy base notes of coriander, turmeric and chilli with sweeter coconut coming through and a boost of the super-green Kale and on-trend Quinoa which adds an amazing texture to the other ingredients including lentils, chickpeas, onions, mushrooms, and parsnips etc. Whilst this feast is ready in 3 minutes and is fantastic on its’ own, it can also be used as a base (for example in a pie) and is as a delicious and nutritional dish for the whole family.

Middle Eastern Chickpea Casserole is a low-fat, moreish, Middle Eastern style casserole, slow cooked with vegetables, chickpeas and mild spices. Naturally sweet because of the red pepper, raisins and parsnips (joining other ingredients including Spinach, carrots and split peas) this dish can also be served as it is, with rice, or as a filling in a tart or in a savoury strudel.

For delicious desserts or morning and afternoon tea, Free & Easy have added two new cake mixes to their extensive existing range. Both made with Coconut Blossom Sugar, all you need to do is add vegetable oil or an egg and a milk/a dairy free alternative, pop it in the oven and voila! You can create 12 cupcakes, 2 x 20cm sponge rounds, 2 x loaves in a 450g loaf tin, or 1 x loaf in a 900g loaf tin. The new fresh, zingy, zesty Lemon & Poppyseed Cake Mix also comes in two separate sachets so you can leave out the poppyseed’s if you want to.

The rich, dark Coffee Cake Mix is just as easy to prepare and makes the same quantities – like the Lemon & Poppyseed Cake Mix, it also already contains a vegan egg replacer to help it rise if you don’t want to add an egg.

Both ranges will be available from Ocado and independent Health food stores from September 2018.
