Rooibos (pronounced Roy-bos) means ‘red bush’ and it’s a plant that’s indigenous to the shrubland of South Africa. The red leaves are used to make a naturally caffeine free deep red tea, with a rich nutty taste, which has been drunk there for centuries.

Rooibos has also been growing in popularity not just because of its’ taste but because of its’ healthy benefits. It contains high levels of a mixture of minerals including, iron, calcium, potassium, copper, magnesium, manganese and zinc which promotes bone, teeth and hair strength, whilst the activated potassium helps aid digestion.
